Lanthanum gallium silicate crystal is a kind of electro-optic crystal with good EO property, Langasite type Crystals electro-optic Q-switch could be used in high repetition rate, e.g. 50kHz. Besides, LGS crystal is also as a kind of Piezo electric Crystal with excellent performance which belongs to trigonal system. The point group is 32 and the space group is P321. The thermal expansion coefficient is small, and the thermal expansion anisotropy of the crystal is weak. La3Ga5SiO14 Crystal has wide transmission band and high transmission rate, and its ultraviolet absorption edge is around 244nm wavelength.Above 400nm wavelength, the transmittance reaches more than 80%. Has a higher photodamage threshold that can reach 6.7 times more than LiNbO3 crystals. LGS crystal can meet the requirements of EO devices for crystals and has good mechanical properties. It has no solution, no deliquescent, stable physical and chemical properties, and good comprehensive performance.
